Could be many reasons, the donghua does make some changes from the novel after all. Might be cause she saw Shi Hao with Yun Xi, also could be Shi Hao goes and refines himself a pill in a cauldron while he is naked

The author forgets things and omits things as the novel progresses so a lot of things in the end is left to the reader's interpretation, as such a lot of people will have differing opinions and interpretation of the novel's ending, but what I wrote is what happened, not what could have been or what is implied (this is directed to the wannabe attention seeker who thinks the novel is best novel in the world)

I'm curious, have any of the novels you've read ever offered two or more endings to the story you read? I've seen it done in a manga but I'm wondering if any novels have attempted to do the same.

No, none of the novels I have ever read had a rewrite lol, it isnt like Mass Effect 3 where the masses can influence an ending, then again the reason for the uproar is justified from what I have read, never played the game myself though
Having said that the author might write a second novel, the sequel and then have a proper ending :) Fanren being one of them
Soul Land 1 to 5 including the x.5s .... isnt..... it is just the authors way of living in the past and creating a world where his wife still exist, kind of feel sorry for him

not exactly a rewrite, more like you go to chapter 11 to read the first ending and then chapter 12 to read the other ending. I read the manga for Btoom! because it was a one season anime with no follow up and I got tired of waiting for it. They had a chapter referred to as the black ending and another chapter called the white ending to identify between the two.

Oh, I dont think there is a novel like that, at least I havent read anything like that
The closest to that is the device plot they use to "redo" the storyline again, kind of like time travel or Ground Hog's day lol

Reverend Insanity is like that, the author sets out to make an evil character who uses one of his abilities to go back in his past to redo things over, it was pretty decent at the beginning, then everything was like boring (this is my opinion for those who love the novel) and the main character's personality and way of doing things sometimes is inconsistent.
It's a pretty dark and gruesome novel, very graphically too..... but I dropped it lol

According to the author and other sources, Perfect World is from a trilogy, and we should read some stories from the MC of each novel in the others, but still the other two novels has not been complete translated yet, to know if Shi Hao appears in the other novels.

I havent read the other two novels, but they are like Soul Land and Soul Land 2, where new characters new stuff, and the original characters doesnt appear in the sequel and if they did it will be very minor, like Doupo Cangqiong and Da Zhu Zai.
From reading on forums there is much debate as to the identity of the main character in Shrouding the Heavens, whether Ye Fan is Shi Hao's descendant or Shi Hao himself, but it would seem it is heavily implied that Ye Fan inherited the blood of Shi Hao, in Sacred Ruins, both main characters from Perfect World and Shrouding Heavens appear but under different names, and again much debate over their identity whether they are the actual Shi Hao Ye Fan or souls of theirs or reincarnation etc. From the looks of things, they are also minor characters in that novel, I might be wrong since I am reading forums and not the novel lol Sadly I wont be reading them since Shi Hao isnt the main character in the later novels

Yes, Shi Hao may not appear as a real person, but the three bronze coffin will appear in the trilogy, maybe in dreams, and they said Shi Hao will appear in one of them. I really love what they finally said in other buzz that Shi Hao is the strongest red dust immortal, so dust immortal should be the higher level in that universe. Ye Fan can only rank after Shi Hao. After all, Shi Hao’s talent is the best in the world.

Yeah would be interesting to know :) But I am not a fan of Chen Dong, his endings is just meh, kind of like playing a game with multiple endings and the ending he gives is the normal one, and he doesnt give you the best ending lol
